This half-day tour in Washington DC covers the city’s main landmarks and memorials in about four hours. You travel by air-conditioned luxury bus with panoramic windows, guided by an expert local guide who provides live commentary throughout the trip. The tour begins and ends at the United States Navy Memorial and Naval Heritage Center. From there, you visit the outside of the U.S. Capitol and the White House with 15-minute guided stops at each. You also stop at the National World War II Memorial for a 15-minute guided visit. Other stops include the Marine Corps War Memorial, known as "Iwo Jima," which offers views of the city skyline and Arlington National Cemetery. You will see the Jefferson Memorial by the Tidal Basin as well. The tour continues with guided visits to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial, each with about 15 minutes of walking and commentary. The Korean War Veterans Memorial is included in the route but has been closed until 2022. Bottled water is provided during the tour. The guide leads you on and off the bus for stops, giving detailed information about each site. There is no hotel pickup or drop-off, and lunch is not included. Gratuities are also not covered.
