Overview

The tour starts early in Punta Arenas with a bus transfer of about 50 kilometers south to the boat boarding point. The full-day excursion lasts between 12 and 14 hours. After boarding, the boat sails through the Strait of Magellan, passing Cabo Froward, the southernmost point of the American continent. The cruise continues to Francisco Coloane Marine Park, where the boat spends approximately eight hours navigating the waters to watch whales and other marine wildlife. Sightings often include humpback whales, sei whales, southern dolphins, oyster dolphins, sea lions, petrels, cormorants, and Magellanic penguins. The route also offers views of glaciers on Santa Inés Island and travels through the fjords of Tierra del Fuego, surrounded by mountains and forests of lenga and coihue trees. Breakfast, lunch, and tea or coffee are included and served on board during the cruise.
