The full-day Whitsundays sail and snorkel tour departs from Airlie Beach aboard the Tongarra. The trip lasts about eight and a half hours and includes sailing to the northern part of Hook Island. Participants can snorkel at a well-known fringing reef near the island, with all snorkeling gear provided, including stinger suits for safety; fins are not included. Morning and afternoon snacks are served on board, along with a lunch during the sailing. The tour also features a ride on the "Red Shark" boat and a visit to Langford Sandbar, a shallow sandbank suitable for wading and exploring. On the return trip to Airlie Beach, the group sails at sunset. Alcoholic drinks are not supplied but guests may bring their own; eskys and ice are provided for this purpose. Carbonated drinks are not allowed on the boat. Guides provide information about the Whitsundays area throughout the day. Participants should be comfortable boarding the boat using ladders to access both the vessel and the water.
