Overview

Windsor Castle has been the residence of English and British monarchs for nearly a thousand years and is the largest inhabited castle in the world. Visitors walk through Windsor’s historic streets and can explore the castle’s State Apartments and St George’s Chapel, which contain works from the Royal Collection and reflect the tastes of monarchs such as Charles II and George IV. The castle covers over 10.5 hectares and remains one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Stonehenge, dating back around 4,500 years, is a prehistoric monument with connections to the Summer and Winter solstices. The tour includes an interactive audio guide option and time to visit a nearby exhibition displaying 250 ancient objects and the remains of a 5,500-year-old man. The tour also visits Oxford, a city known for its university and architecture spanning from Saxon times. An expert guide leads a walking tour through Oxford’s cobbled streets, showing the exteriors of famous university colleges and highlighting landmarks like the Bodleian Library, one of Europe’s oldest research libraries, and Christ Church, a college that shares its foundation with the Oxford diocese cathedral. This full-day coach tour from London lasts about 11 and a half hours. It includes a walking tour in Oxford, an expert guide throughout, and onboard Wi-Fi and USB charging. Entrance to Windsor Castle and Stonehenge can be added if selected. Hotel pickup, meals, and gratuities are not included.
