✓Confirmation before Wed, 9 Sept - card's only charged if it's a yes. If it's a no, still time to book on Viator.
Book on Viator Confirmed right away, but you pay full price.$210This half-day kayak tour on Lake Yellowstone begins at 8:30 AM to avoid the strong afternoon winds. The tour lasts about four hours and travels past geothermal features near West Thumb and Potts Geyser Basin, located on the lake above an ancient volcano in Yellowstone National Park. Participants paddle fast, stable kayaks equipped with rudders for easier steering and better control in windy conditions. Small groups allow the Level 3 ACA-certified guides to provide detailed naturalist commentary and ensure safety throughout the trip. The tour includes splash jackets when needed, paddle gloves for cold weather, and light fiberglass paddles. Dry boxes and dry bags are provided to keep phones, keys, cameras, and extra clothing dry. Water bottles are available in each kayak, though guests are encouraged to bring their own water. Snacks such as Cliff Bars, fruit leathers, and fruit snacks are offered before or during the tour. Guests may request a double kayak instead of a single by contacting the operator in advance. Participants should bring warm, non-cotton layers suitable for 38-degree water, water shoes or sandals that can get wet, sun protection including SPF 50 and sunglasses, and any personal medical items like inhalers or epi pens. It is recommended to leave a towel and extra clothes in the vehicle for after the tour in case of getting wet. Gratuities for the guide are appreciated but not required.
Meet at the Grant Village Marina/boat ramp. When you turn into Grant Village, go past the ranger station. Take a right after you pass the gas station onto Grant Marina road. Go a 1/4 mile down the road. Turn left at the “t”. You will see our Shurr Adventures van and our kayaks will be on the beach.
