This six-hour Lamar Valley safari hiking tour in Yellowstone National Park covers approximately six miles on bison trails away from the main roads. Lamar Valley

This six-mile hike through Lamar Valley is known as one of the best places in North America for wildlife viewing on foot. The guide leads the group to locations not accessible from the road, helping to navigate the large bison herds encountered. The group may spot wolves and bears at a distance using a spotting scope carried by the guide. Other animals often seen include pronghorn, elk, moose, badgers, ground squirrels, and many bird species. A break is taken for a picnic lunch with views of the river or valley.
