Overview

This Zagreb City Tour with Funicular Ride and WW2 Tunnels lasts two and a half hours and covers key sights in the city center. The tour starts at the Ban Josip Jelacic Monument in the main square, where the guide provides a 15-minute introduction to Zagreb. Next, the group visits the Cathedral of Zagreb for 15 minutes to learn about one of Croatia's tallest buildings. The tour continues with a 15-minute stop at Dolac Market, the local green market known as the "Belly of the City." Afterward, there is a 15-minute walk along Krvavi Most, a street that was once a bridge and the site of historical conflicts. The next stop is Kamenita Vrata, the historic entrance to the Old Town, where participants spend 20 minutes seeing the chapel dedicated to the city’s patron saint and one of the oldest pharmacies in the world nearby. Then the tour moves to St. Mark's Square for 20 minutes to view St. Mark's Church with its colorful roof, as well as the Parliament and Government buildings. The tour includes a ride on the Zagreb Funicular, one of the shortest funicular railways in the world. It finishes with a 20-minute walk through Tunel Gric, tunnels built by fascist forces during World War II. The tour is led by a certified local guide with extensive experience. It operates daily starting at 10:30 am and requires at least two participants per booking.
