Overview

This full-day bus tour lasts about 11 to 12 hours and begins with pickup from your hotel or a central meeting point in Krakow. The group travels to Chochołów, a village known for its well-preserved 19th-century wooden highlander houses built without nails. Visitors walk along the main street to see the traditional architecture and mountain views. Next, the tour includes a visit to a traditional shepherd’s hut called a bacówka, where guests taste oscypek cheese and sample local Polish vodka. Afterward, the funicular railway takes visitors up to Gubałówka Hill for about 30 minutes, offering views of the Tatra Mountains. Then there is about two hours of free time on Krupówki Street, Zakopane’s main pedestrian area with shops and wooden chalets, where visitors can browse shops and relax in cafes. The last stop is a three-hour visit to Chocholow Thermal Baths, which include geothermal pools, water slides, and spa zones. The tour provides round-trip transportation between Krakow and Zakopane, the Gubałówka funicular ticket, cheese and vodka tasting, and an English or Spanish-speaking live guide. Hotel pickup or a meeting point option is included. Food and drinks other than the tasting are not included, nor is hotel drop-off on return. Participants should bring swimwear, a towel, and flip-flops. The schedule may change due to traffic or weather. A complimentary Krakow walking tour is offered separately as a gift for booking this tour.
