Pyramid of Tirana (Enver Hoxha Pyramid)

The project converted the former communist-era monument into a contemporary cultural and educational hub, while preserving its original concrete structure and introducing terraced steps, skylights, and colourful new architectural elements.

Today, the pyramid is used for conferences, studio workshops, technology centers such as Tumo, entertainment centers, bars, and restaurants.

For many Albanians the Pyramid is now the symbol of the victory over the regime. In an attempt to reclaim the deteriorating structure, the youth of Tirana have used it as a hangout and a canvas for graffiti, and often climb it at night and then – not without risk – slide down its slopes.
