Iguazu Falls

Local bus from Puerto Iguazú to the Brazil Side of Iguazu Falls. There are 2 companies that run local buses from the Puerto Iguazú bus terminal to the entrance of the Brazil side of the falls. They depart every hour and do allow time at the immigration, before continuing on.

The city in Argentina where the Iguazu Falls are located is called Puerto Iguazu, and in Brazil it is called Foz de Iguazu. Both cities are very close to each other: only 16km from center to center. Iguazu Falls on the Argentine side are located 18km from Puerto Iguazu and 29km from the center of Foz de Iguazu.

Very cozy city. The main attraction of the city is the Iguazu National Park where are located the Falls on the Argentine side. The city has several cellars where you can buy good wines at affordable prices. Excellent experience for 3 or 4 days.

The Iguassu Falls (Iguazú in Spanish and Iguaçu in Portuguese meaning “big water” in the indigenous Guaraní language) are nestled within protected areas; the Argentine section is part of Iguazú National Park, while the Brazilian portion lies within Iguaçu National Park, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
