Katoomba Falls

You can even reach Katoomba Falls by beginning the trail at Echo Point. The walk is around an hour and 30 minutes, and 3.1 kilometres return. There's an ascension of around 310 metres and the track is moderately graded. Take advantage of the beautiful landscape and stay next to the waterfall!

The most popular waterfalls is Wentworth Falls, a waterfall that is a three-tiered cascade in the Blue Mountains. The descent to the falls involves many stairs, but it is considered worth the effort. Another must-see spot is Katoomba Falls, a waterfall with an open vista of the mountains surrounded by rainforest.

The Three Sisters is also floodlit until around 11pm each evening looking simply spectacular set against the black background of the night sky. Each of the Three Sisters stand at 922, 918 & 906 metres tall, respectively.

Katoomba is the most visited town in the Blue Mountains. It wasn't until 1879 that the town of Katoomba became known when J.B. North opened the Katoomba Coal Mine.
