Osorno Volcano

Osorno is a beautiful city located in the Los Lagos Region, on the banks of the Rahue River, characterized by its proximity to incredible natural landscapes. It is only an hour from Puyehue National Park, a gigantic wilderness area that offers natural hot springs and hiking trails in the middle of native forests.

A stunning snow-capped volcano that lies on the southeastern shore of the huge Llanquihue Lake, one-two hours from the Chilean town of Puerto Varas, and near to the popular Petrohue waterfalls. This active volcano stands at 2,652 metres above sea level.

The guided ascent to the summit of the Osorno Volcano does not require any previous mountaineering or climbing experience, but a good physical condition for an activity of more than eight hours in alpine terrain. The ascent requires the use of mountaineering and climbing techniques and equipment.
