Maipo Valley

A few kilometers south of Santiago, the Maipo Valley awaits you to offer you a day that perfectly combines outdoor adventure with wine tradition. This valley, the cradle of some of Chile's most emblematic wines, blends history, culture, and pre-Andean landscapes.

From Santiago, the main access is via Route 5 South. Drive for approximately one hour, taking the signposted detours that lead to the wine-growing sub-regions of Pirque, Buin, and Alto Maipo. You can also join organized tours that depart daily from the capital.

Maipo Valley is the closest Chilean wine region to Santiago, the capital city of Chile. It extends eastwards from the city to the Andes and westward to the coast, stretching south toward the towns and subzones of Padre Hurtado, Peñaflor, Talagante, Isla de Maipo and Melipilla.
