Overall, El Volcán de Totumo is one of those quirky one-off travel experiences that everyone will be talking about for different reasons long after their trip to Cartagena has come to an end. Is mud volcano worth it?
Slightly underwhelming! We visited the mud volcanoes as part of a group tour. Whilst it's interesting enough it felt a bit underwhelming when we arrived, especially after having driven along the very bumpy road to get there! I would probably call them mud mounds rather than volcanoes.
