New 2025 Medellín Metro System Fares It now costs 10,900 pesos to get an eventual Civica card at a fare booth that is rechargeable. The Metrocable line to Parque Arvi (Line L) has a separate fare of 13,700 pesos unless you are part of Sisbén, which will result in a lower fare.

Using the Medellin metro system is very simple, you just need a metro card with enough credit on it. Several people can use the same card at the same time and you can only pay in cash in Colombian pesos. You can get either this green card or a grey one.

In this sense, Medellin's cable cars (with one exception), unlike in other parts of the world, were not designed for touristic or leisure purposes, but for the daily transportation of locals in an effort of social transformation.
