Santa Marta Historic Center (Centro Historico de Santa Marta)

Santa Marta is Colombia's oldest surviving city (and the second-oldest in all of South America). It was “discovered” by the Spaniards in 1525, and now has more than half a million residents.

The election of Colombia as an emerging LGTBIQ+ destination at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, Spain, which is due to, according to experts, the country's progress in legal issues in favor of inclusion and equality. Santa Marta has one of the best gay environments on the Caribbean coast of Colombia.

Santa Marta Is Ancient and Historical Santa Marta emerged amid attractive beaches and bountiful nature in 1525 as the first city on Colombian territory. It is also one of the oldest cities in the American continent. The historical center is romantic, colonial and very well preserved.
