National Palace

It is recommended to allocate around 1-2 hours for a visit to the National Palace. Visitors are not allowed to bring food, beverages, or large bags inside the palace.

National Palace of the Dominican Republic. Home to the Dominican presidency, the National Palace is a grand neoclassical landmark with a striking dome and formal gardens.

Late summer and early fall, particularly from August through October, are the least favorable months. Heat and humidity are at their peak, rainfall is unpredictable, and ocean conditions can limit certain excursions.

In the Dominican Republic, wealthy residents choose their homes carefully—from high-status neighborhoods in Santo Domingo like Los Cacicazgos, La Julia, and Bella Vista; to chic resort enclaves like Casa de Campo and Cap Cana; and tranquil escapes in the mountains or northern coast like Jarabacoa or Las Terrenas.
