Laguna de las Ninfas

Home to both the Charles Darwin Foundation and the Galápagos National Park, Puerto Ayora is the center of the Galápagos conservation efforts. Island visitors may visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn the history of the islands and future conservation plans.

Puerto Ayora The bay is a good location to spot brown pelicans, golden rays, marine iguanas, herons, lava gulls, frigate birds, Galapagos sea lions, and large numbers of blue-footed boobies.

Taxi & Water Taxi Taxi and water taxi services are available in Puerto Ayora, Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and Puerto Villamil. Taxi rides in any of these towns cost $1,50, but in San Cristóbal many drives charge $2 per trip, but expect to pay more for trips outside town limits.
