Wadi el Gemal National Park

The Wadi El-Gemal National Park is not only beautiful but also one of historical significance. Beautifully, it is filled with the remnants of historical cultures, Roman ruins, and areas where mines from the ancient times have been found.

Tickets: The Park entrance fees are EGP 5 for Egyptians and EGP 40 (2 Euros) for non-Egyptians. Tickets are available at the National Park Offices in Wadi El-Gemal and Um El-Abbas. Camping fees are EGP 50 for Egyptians and EGP 200 (per person per night).

Off shore, sea grass beds sustain green turtles and dugong, and spectacular fringing coral reefs host some of the greatest diversity of marine life on the Red Sea coast. Strands of jewel-like islands shelter important populations of breeding birds. In fact, 10% of the world's sooty falcons nest on Wadi El Gemal Island.

However, you can take the Mini bus to Hurghada, take the taxi to Safaga, take the bus to Marsa Allam, then take the taxi to Wadi El Gemal National Park. Alternatively, you can take the taxi to Sharm El-Sheikh, take the bus to Cairo, take the bus to Marsá al 'Alam, then take the taxi to Wadi El Gemal National Park.
