How do I get to Lampivaara Amethyst Mine?
You can arrive to Lampivaara by winter hiking, skiing, snowshoeing or fatbiking. Please note, that the closest parking lot is located in Ukko-Luosto and it is not possible to drive by car directly to Lampivaara café.
Is the Four Peaks amethyst Mine open to the public?
Our Public and Private tours are offered March through May and September through November, weather permitting. The Mine tour includes a helicopter ride up to the mine, located at 6,200 ft, in between the 3rd and 4th Peaks of the Mazatzal Mountains.
