Akureyri Church (Akureyrarkirkja)

The landmark of Akureyri is Akureyrarkirkja, the Church of Akureyri, with 112 steps to the top of the hill. It is such a beautiful church, consecrated in 1940. Nobody should visit Akureyri without walking up the steps to the church, while counting them, which is a kind of tradition here in Iceland.
