Vidhana Soudha

Join us to experience the Vidhana Soudha not just as a building, but as a living symbol of democracy and statehood. (Please note: Entry requires prior booking and mandatory original ID verification as per security protocols. Tours are conducted on the 2nd and 4th Saturday and on Sundays every month.

The winter months, from October to February, are also some of the best months to visit the Vidhana Soudha. The temperatures remain between 12 to 18 degrees Celsius during the winters, making it quite a pleasant time to visit the iconic South Indian structure.

The centre hall contains legislature chambers in which legislative sessions are held. The seat of Karnataka's legislature, Vidhana Soudha, is critical in the state's governance and political process.

Everyone knows that the Vidhana Soudha houses the state secretariat and legislature, and that it was the brainchild of the late Kengal Hanumanthaiah, Chief Minister of Mysore state.
