Mother House of the Missionaries of Charity

Inadequate care and alleged cruelty. According to a paper by Canadian academics Serge Larivée, Geneviève Chénard and Carole Sénéchal, Mother Teresa's clinics received millions of dollars in donations but lacked medical care, systematic diagnosis, necessary nutrition, and sufficient analgesics for those in pain.

Saint Teresa became an influential humanitarian figure of the 20th century by creating The Charity or Mother House along with 12 pupils on October 7th 1950 and their mission was to provide care and assistance to abandoned, homeless, hungry, disabled children and adults who couldn't help themselves.

Former volunteers and people close to the Mother House revealed that the Vatican, home to the Pope, has control over the “monetary matters” ever since Missionaries of Charity came under its fold in 1965. The control got stronger after Mother Teresa died in 1997.
