Sajjangarh Palace (Monsoon Palace)

Sajjangarh Fort is worth visiting, especially for its breathtaking panoramic views of Udaipur, the Aravali mountain range, and the surrounding lakes. It's recommended to go in the evening to witness the sunset, although the lush green surroundings are most beautiful during the monsoon season.

Entry Fee and Timings Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace welcomes tourists with affordable entry fees. Currently, tickets range between INR 50-300 for local visitors and between INR 300-500 for foreign tourists. There are group discounts available as well as special rates for children and seniors.

Maharana Sajjan Singh, the 72nd ruler of the Mewar dynasty, created this nine-storey astronomical centre as a part of his visionary plans to monitor monsoon clouds. Legend even suggests that the Maharana built it at the top of the hill to get a view of his ancestral home, Chittorgarh.
