Jimbaran is one of the calmer beaches on Bali's west coast which is why it's so popular with families and anyone who just wants an easy swim. The waves here are usually gentle thanks to the shape of the bay, so you don't get the heavy shore breaks you see in places like Canggu or Uluwatu.

Jimbaran Bay's waters are great for swimming, with moderate waves and a reef that sits far from the shore. The best swimming spot is near the Intercontinental Hotel, where early mornings around 9:30 AM are the most peaceful. Your swimming safety depends on where you are.
