Via Etnea

The Via Etnea is the main street in the center of Catania. It winds in the south to north, has a straight and is about three kilometers long trend. It goes from Piazza del Duomo to the Tondo Gioeni. The Etnea arose only at the end of the seventeenth century as a result of the disastrous earthquake of 11 January 1693.
