Corvaja Palace (Palazzo Corvaja)

Corvaja Palace / Palazzo Corvaja is a medieval Sicilian palace, dating from the 10th century. It was originally built by the Arabs and takes its name from the Corvaja family, who were amongst Taormina's most important aristocrats and owned it from 1538 to 1945.

This is a compact town so it doesn't take long to walk from one end to the other, but with its scenic squares, boutique shops, outdoor cafes, and handful of historical sites, you could easily spend a half day or more exploring Taormina.
