Negril Lighthouse

Lighthouse History The Negril Lighthouse can be found on the western end of the island and dates back to construction in 1894. It was built by the French company Bernard & Bernard and today, it remains an iconic landmark in Negril.

Negril, the Capital of Casual, is the epitome of relaxation. The island's westernmost town is a haven for beach lovers, famous for beautiful sunsets, a 7-mile stretch of bright white sandy beach, and picturesque cliffs overlooking the azure blue waters.

The name Negril is a shortened version of Negrillo (Spanish: Little black one), as it was originally named by the Spaniards in 1494.
