Well worth a visit to understand the Mongol empires and their history. Newest museum in Ulaanbaatar with an extensive collection of artifacts. Work your way up through the building to understand the history of the different Mongol empires with helpful videos/maps and displays.

Violent incidents are rare, but foreigners have been assaulted and robbed in Ulaanbaatar. Avoid being out alone at night, and ask hotels, restaurants or clubs to order a car for you.
