Plan to spend 2–3 hours at the Antarctic Centre Christchurch to enjoy the main exhibits, including the Hägglund ride and penguin viewing. If you've booked a backstage tour or want to take your time with displays and café breaks, allow closer to 4 hours.
Is Antarctic Centre worth it?
Very informative and lots of great interactive experiences. This attraction really offers something different. We enjoyed the opportunity to ride in a Hagglunds, experience a 4D ice-breaker trip in the theatre, pat the huskies and watch the penguins swim, preen and dive for fish.
