Heritage of Cebu Monument

The Heritage of Cebu is an illustration and representation of sculptures made of brass, bronze, concrete, and steel. It was built by the national multi-awarded artist Eduardo Castrillo. The construction of the monument, funded by the late senator Marcelo Fernan along with some donations, started in July 1997.

The Heritage of Cebu Monument, also known as the Parian Monument, is a monument in Cebu City, Philippines. It was made by Filipino sculptor Eduardo Castrillo and architects Heradio Español and Ildefonso Santos.

In 1521, Cebu entered the global stage with the arrival of Ferdinand Magellan, who brought Christianity to the islands. The baptism of Rajah Humabon and Queen Juana marked Cebu as the gateway of Christianity in the Philippines, a legacy that lives on in the revered Santo Niño—a symbol of hope, resilience, and unity.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Cebu and Parish of Saint Vitalis of Milan or commonly known as the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral (Cebuano: Katedral Metropolitano sa Sugbo ) is the ecclesiastical seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cebu in Cebu City, Philippines. The church is dedicated to Saint Vitalis of Milan.
