Never leave drinks unattended. In Albufeira, there's a code of conduct which bans inappropriate behaviour in public places. This includes partial nudity, drinking in the street and unsociable behaviour, such as spitting. Remember to treat the country you're visiting with respect.

The neighborhood around Praia da São Rafael is the most scenic area to stay in Albufeira, albeit quite a bit outside the town center. There are some very nice hotels and accommodations here and you have easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve – Praia da São Rafael and Praia dos Arrifes.

This weekly market offers a wide range of products including fresh produce, clothing, textiles, and shoes at budget-friendly prices. You can explore the stalls on the first and third Tuesday of each month as well as on St. Peter's Day from 9:00 to 14:00.

A bit tacky in places but full of bars & restaurants... some not that great. A nice big beach that is very clean though. It's the kind of tourist places where you can get a full English breakfast basically.
