Beautiful artifact. At night when lit up or not. Ensure you read up on it and how it added to Sila palaces and history.
Can you see the Milky Way in Korea?
Hahoe Village is my recommendation as well. I went there several years ago (fall 2008) after seeing the Andong Mask Festival and was blown away by the view of the stars and different hues of the Milky Way.
How was Cheomseongdae used?
Some say Cheomseongdae was used for heavenly rituals, others say it was simply a symbolic tower. But the most dominant theory is that Cheomseongdae was an astronomical observatory. This scientific stone building is the “oldest astronomical observatory in Asia”.
