Description. Perge, the long-established city of Pamphylia region, is located 18 km east of Antalya and 2 km north of Aksu Village. The Archaeological site of Perge has been excavated systemically by Istanbul University since 1946.

The Hellenistic gate, the ordered streets, the Roman baths, the fountains, the stadium, and the sculptural legacy remain remarkably clear.
How long to spend in a Perge ancient city?
Since it's not a huge site, you can easily visit Perge from Antalya as a half day trip. We only needed about 1.5-2 hours to walk around the site without rushing. You can either head back to Antalya afterward, or make a full day of it by visiting Kursunlu Waterfalls, located about 8 km to the north of Perge.
