National Opera House of Ukraine

Since its world premiere in 1960 on the stage of Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre, the opera “The Stolen Happiness” has been one of the most famous and most performed Ukrainian operas of the 20th century. Its author, Yulii Meitus (1903-1997), is a Ukrainian composer who wrote 17 operas.

There is no formal dress code required to attend a show at the London Coliseum, and most guests opt for smart casual attire. However, attending the theatre often feels like a special occasion, so many people choose to dress up, especially for events like opera or ballet performances.

The Grand Kyiv Ballet, also called Kyiv Grand Ballet or Kiev Grand Ballet, is an independent touring ballet company of Ukrainian ballet dancers from Kyiv temporarily operating from the International Ballet Academy in Bellevue, Washington, USA while in refuge from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Kyiv (Kiev) has a vibrant nightlife scene with bars and clubs spread across the city. Those in the centre tend to be more popular with foreign visitors and expatriates while those found further out have a more Ukrainian clientele.
