Dhayah Fort

Dhayah Fort is famous for being the only remaining hilltop fort in the UAE and a symbol of Ras Al Khaimah's heritage. It's best known for its historical significance as the site of the 1819 battle between local tribes and British forces, as well as its panoramic views over the mountains and coastline.

It is an important historical monument where the 1819 battle between British troops and local Qawasim tribes took place. It's worth climbing the 239 zigzagging steps to bear witness to the spectacular views.

Part of the northern Hajar mountains, Jebel Jais mountain is considered the highest peak in the UAE, standing at a height of 1,934 metres above sea level. Overlooking the sea, this spectacular landmark promises adrenaline junkies some unforgettable adventures amidst its rugged landscape.
