Honokōhau Beach offers great swimming and snorkeling; however, the entry is rocky, so it's best to wear reef shoes. The waters are almost always calm, except in the worst of weather.
What should I bring to Kaloko-Honokohau?
I would strongly recommend bringing water, it can be very warm and wearing comfortable walking shoes. Go early in the morning if possible and bring water. It gets pretty hot out there. We enjoyed going there.
