What happened to the Pacific Science Center?

Pacific Science Center is a nonprofit organization that operates its namesake museum on 7.1 acres (29,000 m 2) of land at the southwest corner of Seattle Center, a city-owned civic campus. Part of the museum was sold to Center Art LLC, associated with the owners of the nearby Space Needle, in 2026.

How long do people spend at Pacific Science Center?

There is no doubt that there is enough happening at the Pacific Science Center to take up at least a day. I'm a literature and arts person and I had a great time there for hours and hours, and my granddaughter went back the next week because there was more she wanted to do.

Can you bring water into the Pacific Science Center?

Guests are welcome to bring outside food and beverages for consumption in the first-floor dining court or on the patio outside the museum's north entrance (adjacent to the Rose Garden). Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. Food is not permitted in exhibit galleries.
