Which nights should you book for One Love Run – 5K, 10K, 10M, and Half Marathon?
Book the night before the race — 22 August 2026 — to be rested and ready for an early start. Also consider booking the night after — 23 August — as many runners prefer to recover, shower, and rest before travelling home; road closures on race morning make post-race travel difficult, and fatigue after a marathon or half marathon makes long journeys unwise.
How do you get to Long Beach?
All listed hotels are within 0.36km of the venue in Long Beach, and the start line is at the same location. The Varden Hotel is just 0.13km away — a very short walk. Road closures will be in effect on race morning, so driving to the start is not advised. Public transport options aren’t specified, but ride-share drop-off or walking from nearby accommodation is the most reliable approach. Services thin out late — check the last departure before you go if using buses or trains.
Where do you eat and drink after the race?
Several hotels are near ocean-facing residential streets with local cafés and casual eateries. While no specific venues are listed, the area offers relaxed post-race options within easy walking distance — ideal for rehydrating and refuelling without needing transport.
What is the area around Long Beach like?
The venue is in Long Beach, a coastal city with a relaxed, beach-adjacent atmosphere. The immediate area around the start line features residential streets with ocean views and low-rise buildings. It’s quiet but walkable, with easy access to the shoreline. There’s no mention of a dense commercial district or major transit hub directly adjacent — the focus is on proximity and calm before and after the race.
