This 3-day budget tour from Edinburgh is designed for backpackers and travelers looking for an affordable way to explore the Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands. The tour lasts 72 hours and includes two nights in a mixed-gender multi-share dormitory hostel. Transportation is provided in an air-conditioned vehicle with a local English-speaking guide throughout the trip. The itinerary covers key Highland locations, including visits to Loch Ness and ruined castles. The tour also includes a stop at the Dundreggan Rewilding Centre. Evenings allow time to visit Highland pubs. During April and October, the third day features a ride on the Jacobite Steam Train and a ferry crossing to the Isle of Skye. Food, drinks, gratuities, and attraction entry fees are not included. There is no hotel pickup or drop-off, so travelers should arrange their own transport to the departure point and arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure. Return times may vary due to weather and road conditions, so extra time should be allowed for onward travel.
