Overview

Swimming with stingrays in Antigua is a popular activity recognized by the Times UK as one of the top three experiences on the island. This half-day trip lasts about three hours, including travel time. It starts with a 45-minute van transfer from the meeting point in St. John's to the village of Seatons. From there, an 8-minute boat ride takes participants to Stingray City, a sandbank in the sea where the water is about 150 cm (4.75 ft) deep. At Stingray City, guests can stand in the shallow water and interact directly with the stingrays without needing to swim. The animals are in their natural environment, not confined or trained, and the guides respect their wellbeing. The guide will take photos during the encounter, but these are not included in the price. After about 90 minutes on the sandbank, the group returns by boat and van to St. John's, completing the round-trip transfer. The tour includes pickup from certain resorts or the cruise port in St. John's, snorkeling equipment, a rash guard with 50 SPF, water, alcoholic drinks, all fees and taxes, and air conditioning during transfers. Towels and photos are not included.
