Overview

This 2 to 2.5-hour electric bike tour takes place after sunset, allowing participants to see Athens’ main sights illuminated. The tour starts at a bike store in Thiseio, a traditional neighborhood near the Acropolis and surrounded by archaeological sites. Riders travel through the city center and vibrant areas like Plaka, passing landmarks such as the Acropolis, Panathenaic Stadium, and the Roman Agora. The route includes stops to view and photograph key sites. There is a 15-minute break at Pnyx park, a 10-minute stop at the Presidential Mansion to watch the changing of the guards, and a short stop at the Arch of Hadrian. Other points like Hadrian's Library and the Temple of Aries are seen while cycling by. The Panathenaic Stadium, famous for hosting the first modern Olympic Games, is viewed from outside with time for photos. The tour group size is kept small, limited to 12 riders, with different tour leaders for groups of 10 to 12. Bicycles and helmets are included, and participants should be confident riders as the urban route requires steady cycling and navigation among pedestrians, especially on weekends. The tour runs in most weather conditions except heavy rain or thunderstorms, with options to reschedule or cancel if needed. Children between 5 and 11 ride as passengers unless booked as youth riders and must be accompanied by an adult or youth rider. The ride begins in daylight and ends at night, so bringing extra clothing is advised.
