Overview

The tour begins with hotel pickup in Krakow and travel by private vehicle to the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, located about 70 kilometers away. Visitors spend approximately three hours exploring the former Nazi concentration camp complex, which includes the main Auschwitz camp and the Birkenau extermination camp. The site covers nearly 200 hectares with over 150 buildings and around 300 ruins, such as the remains of gas chambers and crematoria. The visit includes access to permanent exhibitions and original camp structures. After Auschwitz-Birkenau, the tour continues to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Guests spend about three hours touring this historic mine, which dates back to the Middle Ages. At its peak in the 16th century, the mine was one of Europe’s most profitable enterprises, contributing significantly to the Polish kingdom’s income. The guided visit covers the underground salt chambers and tunnels. The full day lasts about 10 to 11 hours, including private transportation with air conditioning and a professional English-speaking driver. The price covers skip-the-line admission tickets, all fees and taxes, an official museum guide at Auschwitz-Birkenau, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Lunch is not included.
