Overview

This award-winning small-group tour lasts about eight hours and begins with pick-up at Banff Train Station. Guests travel in a modern, spacious van with large panoramic windows designed for wildlife viewing. A certified local guide leads the group of up to 12 guests, tailoring the itinerary throughout the day based on recent wildlife sightings, group interests, and current conditions. The tour includes guaranteed and expedited access to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, two of Banff National Park’s most popular glacier-fed lakes, both closed to public vehicles. At Lake Louise, guests spend about one and a half to two hours exploring lakeside trails, renting canoes, visiting Chateau Lake Louise, or relaxing by the water. The guide also points out less crowded local spots for photos and quiet moments. Next, the group travels to Moraine Lake for a similar amount of time, with opportunities to walk trails, rent canoes, or enjoy a picnic lunch in quieter areas. The guide provides information about the lake and shows additional local secret places. If time permits, the tour includes a scenic drive along Bow Valley Parkway with optional stops at Morant’s Curve, Castle Cliff Viewpoint, or Moose Meadows. Water refills are available onboard, but guests should bring their own water bottles. An onboard cooler keeps drinks and lunches cold. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are not included, and a park pass is required but not included. A premium upgrade with a picnic lunch is available upon request before booking. This tour is not suitable for children under six or travelers with mobility issues.
