The day begins in Milan with a meeting point where the group boards a first-class express train to Como City, a journey of about 40 minutes. Upon arrival, the guide leads a 45-minute walking tour of Como City, including a visit to the Duomo of Como, the last Gothic cathedral built in Italy. After the walk, the group boards a boat for a lake cruise starting from Como City. The cruise passes the "golden triangle" section of Lake Como, featuring views of Villa Olmo with its neoclassical gardens, Villa D'Este, and George Clooney’s Villa Oleandra. The boat continues past the village of Torno and stops at Villa del Balbianello, known for its terraced gardens and appearances in films such as James Bond Casino Royale and Star Wars. The cruise proceeds to Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo, which has a botanical garden and museum collections. The boat cruise ends in Bellagio, where guests have about 110 minutes of free time to have lunch at a lake-view restaurant recommended by the guide and to explore local shops. After lunch, the group takes a 15-minute ferry ride from Bellagio to Varenna. In Varenna, the guide leads a 90-minute tour highlighting the village’s history and its connection to films such as Ocean’s Twelve. Following the guided tour, there is free time to visit Villa Monastero or Villa Cipressi (also known as Gates of Heaven), with tickets available for purchase on site. The tour concludes with a first-class express train ride of about 55 minutes from Varenna back to Milan Central Station.
