Overview

This full-day bus tour from Florence takes visitors along the coast of Liguria to the UNESCO-listed Cinque Terre villages. The trip includes round-trip transport by air-conditioned coach and a licensed guide who provides commentary throughout the day. Visitors travel between villages by train and, weather permitting, by boat, seeing Manarola, Vernazza, and Monterosso. The tour begins by passing Levanto in the Province of La Spezia, where the guide points out vineyards and medieval sites. In Manarola, guests take a guided walk through the village’s narrow streets and visit the marina, learning about local fishing and winemaking before some free time to explore shops. Next, in Vernazza, the group walks along the harbor and narrow alleys, enjoying views of the sea and church before boarding the boat for a scenic ride along the coast if conditions allow. At Monterosso al Mare, visitors have about an hour of free time to swim if the season permits, shop for local crafts, or taste Ligurian specialties. An optional lunch with drinks can be selected here. The tour includes round-trip train tickets for inter-village travel and the scenic boat ride when available. Guests also have the option to add a guided visit to Pisa, including local train tickets and time to visit the Leaning Tower. Moderate walking and some steps are required on this tour.
