Overview

The day trip starts by boarding a comfortable air-conditioned coach in London, heading west to the Cotswolds. The first stop is Burford, known as the gateway to the Cotswolds, where visitors have about an hour and a half to walk along the high street lined with Cotswold stone buildings, visit tea rooms, and browse local shops. Next, the tour continues to Bibury, often called the prettiest village in the area, with a short walking tour along the River Coln and a stop at the Swan Hotel to relax and enjoy the views. A brief visit follows to Arlington Row within Bibury, famous for its 14th-century honey-colored cottages that once housed weavers and remain a popular photographic spot. Afterward, there is a one-hour lunch break at the Swan Hotel, a historic coaching inn, offering a traditional two-course meal with options of local ales and wines; this lunch is included only if the lunch option is selected. The final stop is Stow-on-the-Wold, a market town situated at 800 feet elevation. Visitors have two hours to explore its streets filled with antique shops, boutiques, and cafés, with free time to shop or have tea before returning to London. The entire tour lasts about 10 hours, guided by a local expert throughout the coach travel and village visits.
