Overview

Culebra Island lies off the coast of Puerto Rico and offers several beaches with clear waters and white sand. This full-day catamaran tour departs from Marina Puerto Del Rey in Fajardo, heading out across the ocean with views of the Cordillera Islands and El Yunque mountains fading behind. After about a 90-minute ride on the power catamaran, the boat arrives at a beach on Culebrita or Flamenco, depending on the water and weather conditions. The captain chooses the safest and best spot each day. Guests spend around four hours on the beach where they can take part in paddleboarding, kayaking, sunbathing, and beach games. All games and water activities depend on the conditions at the beach. Towels are not provided, so guests should bring their own, along with sunscreen and light clothing over swimsuits. The tour lasts about six hours in total and includes snacks, lunch, and alcoholic beverages or soda. It is not a snorkeling tour. Children under 6 years old and pregnant women are not allowed on this trip. Passengers must be able to swim and be prepared for potentially choppy waters during the journey. Seating on the catamaran is assigned, with some seats inside the cabin and others outside at the stern. Groups range from 40 to 60 people, and seating is shared with other guests. Priority seating is given to groups with children aged 6 to 11 years, according to US Coast Guard rules. Roundtrip transportation from San Juan is available for an extra fee and must be arranged at least 48 hours before the tour date. The exact beach destination is subject to change based on daily conditions, and if conditions prevent reaching Culebra, the boat will stop at a nearby deserted island with clear waters and white sand instead.
