Local guides provide commentary about the area's natural features and history during the journey. From the summit, participants take an easy 6-kilometre road bike descent with wide views of the surrounding landscape. After the road descent, the group stops at the Lost Freight Cafe for refreshments. The tour then continues with an 11-kilometre off-road bike ride through temperate rainforest. This gently rolling trail passes through eucalyptus forests, large ferns, a waterfall, historic aqueducts, clear streams, and occasional sightings of native wildlife. The tour lasts about four hours in total and includes a mountain bike and safety helmet. Air conditioning is available on the bus rides. The tour finishes back at the Hobart office.
