The 14-day Everest Base Camp Trek follows the route taken by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay along the Himalayas near Mount Everest (8,848 m). This hiking trip begins in Kathmandu with two nights in 3-star twin-share accommodation including breakfast. The itinerary includes a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and back, with all airport departure taxes covered. Trekking proceeds through the Sagarmatha National Park with permits and local fees included. Along the way, trekkers stay in twin-sharing guesthouses with attached toilets at Lukla, Phakding, and Namche. Meals are provided throughout the trek, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus seasonal fruits and filtered water using a Katadyn Pocket Water Filter. The trek includes porter service for 11 days at a ratio of one porter per two clients. A licensed, English-speaking trekking guide with first-aid training leads the group, and a comprehensive first-aid kit with emergency evacuation arrangements is available if needed. Transfers between the airport and hotel in Kathmandu are done by private tourist vehicle. Participants also receive a duffel bag, trekking map, sun hat, and a trip completion certificate. Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu are not included, nor are personal trekking equipment, travel insurance covering high-altitude rescue, international flights, Nepal visa fees, alcoholic or other drinks, or tips for guides and porters. The domestic flights currently operate directly between Kathmandu and Lukla. Luggage allowance on domestic flights is 15 kg.
